Just doing a little reflection and thinking about my business with Beachbody, as a coach.I've always known the level of success that could be achieved and that I *wanted* to achieve but I have yet to be able to reach. I'm not a top 10 coach, I'm not even a top 100 coach. I have made a really great income, but not six figures. (which is totally okay!) I haven't been able to reach my desired level of success, not because I haven't had the drive or surrounded myself with the right people...but because of my internal "fear of success".I know you're thinking 'fear of success'? What? How can someone fear SUCCESS???I was afraid of losing myself in this business, in the numbers and the constant of running a business. I was afraid of being tethered to my business, instead of living the freedom of time that I was pursuing (and have, personally, for the most part - but I also want it for Kevin, too.)I have been too wrapped up in my fear to really see my success thus far. And, to see that when I slip up and get lost (because I will - I'm not perfect, by any means) that I can choose to give myself the gift of grace...and keep going.I know my calling and that is to encourage, inspire, and equip other women - that are also entrepreneurs and moms and that share in my passion of health, fitness, and whole self wellness. I have been in the depths of depression, self-loathing, self-doubting, low self-esteem and self image. I have seen the darkness that can easily take over our lives when we allow that darkness to be all encompassing. But, I have also been blessed to find an opportunity that has allowed me to live my calling, that helped 'save' me from myself, that helped give me a sense of purpose again, beyond being a mom and wife. It has allowed me to encourage, inspire, and equip other women. It has allowed me to live out my calling and marry it with my passion. And, I want to help you do that same thing and to build a business from home that you can be proud of and live out your calling.I am looking for 5 FRIENDS to join me on this journey in living out our passion and calling to help others live healthier, more fulfilling lives. If you believe that you are missing the mark in living out your calling and believe that this opportunity may be for you, please fill out the application below. <3

Flabby Mom to FIT Mom: 1 Year Post Hysterectomy Real Talk
This was super difficult to share with the world. I AM a health and fitness coach, but I couldn't get my own stuff together?! I felt like a fraud and a failure, but fortunately, I have found the cause and there is light at the end of the tunnel. I hope you all will continue to be here, checking in, as I share my new challenges and this new journey.
From what I understand, hormone therapy is a whole different ball game and sometimes it is not fun. But, I honestly am ready for the challenge. These past six months have been akin to hell. I had begun to question myself, my knowledge, my ability to help others...all because of hormones - or lack thereof.
It's times to get myself back and help a whole new population of women that I previously had put on the back burner. Not necessarily because I wanted to, but because they couldn't relate to me personally. I am ready to embrace these women with open arms because Lord knows they are the only ones that understand what the heck I have been dealing with!
Please email me if you ever need someone to talk to or commiserate with! candace@flabbymomtofitmom.com

Transformation Thursday! Check out Brenda S.!
Brenda S, age 31 from Fulshear, TX, lost 32 lbs with 21 Day Fix and Shakeology. She entered her results into The Beachbody Challenge® and won $1,000!
Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?
Before I started the program I had a 5 year old and a 1 year old and my life revolved around them, which is pretty normal for a mom. We entertain a lot, my husband loves to BBQ, so I was always trying to please our guests with delicious food… which was full of butter usually. I love hanging out with friends and neighbors, which usually meant beverages of some sort. After my second son, I kept packing on the pounds until my “fat” pants were getting tight. That was a crushing moment for me and I felt terrible about how I had let my body go because previously I had been a healthy weight.

That was a crushing moment for me and I felt terrible about how I had let my body go because previously I had been a healthy weight.
What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?
When I put on my “fat pants” and they were snug, I knew I had to change my lifestyle. I wanted to be able to play with my kids and be around for years to come. I knew if I was gaining so much weight at 31, then as I got older it would only be harder to lose. I didn’t want my children to see me like that, so I contacted my friend and now Coach Krista who had dropped a lot of weight and kept talking about how much she loved Beachbody products.

What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody® help you overcome that challenge?
My biggest challenge before was keeping my kids, husband, and guests happy with the foods I prepared every gathering. I wanted everyone else to be happy, so I didn’t think about what was best for me, just everyone else. Beachbody has helped me understand that you can make tasty healthy food and even without the butter my family and guests are happy and now healthy. I have also learned that it is healthy for me to make time for myself to workout and that in doing so I am being a positive role model to my children. They both enjoy doing mommy’s workouts with me. But most importantly I am so proud of myself and so are my family and friends. It is so beautiful to be able to inspire others to make their health a priority.

What in particular did you like about the program you chose?
I started with the 21 Day Fix and I loved the portion control containers and lists of foods to choose from. This really helped me plan for my week and try foods I didn’t regularly prepare before the program. I also like that the workouts are 30 minutes and there is a schedule to stick to, no thinking… just press play.

Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?I am now strong and my sons tells his friends that his mommy has big muscles. That’s such a great feeling. I lost 32 pounds, over 34 inches, and 3 pant sizes. I am also proud to be able to motivate others to become healthy.
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?
I now have confidence that I hadn’t seen in years! I still spend time with friends and family, I just replace fatty foods with healthy foods and calorie filled beverages with water.

How did participating in a Challenge Group help you reach your goals? How did your group support you and keep you accountable?
I believe the accountability group is a major part of my success. There were many days that I wanted to “cheat,” but knew that I had to report to my group and didn’t want to let them down.

How did your Team Beachbody® Coach support you on your journey?
Krista was encouraging and always checked in to let me know I was doing a great job, which in turn made me work even harder. She thought I was awesome, so I had to show her that I was!

How did a Beachbody Supplement or Nutritional Product or Program (such as Shakeology® or Beachbody Ultimate Reset®) support your transformation? What are the greatest benefits you gained? Did you see benefits to your energy, sleep, mood/mental clarity, digestion/regularity?
Shakeology is an amazing product! It is tasty, keeps you full, and helps regulate my body.

Dear First Time Kindergarten Mom...I hear you.
Dear First Time Kindergarten Mom,
Hi. I'm Candace. I'm a first timer, too. I feel like this is an AA meeting and we should introduce ourselves and hash out our stories.
My oldest started kindergarten last Wednesday at a school that he had to test into. Let that sink in...your five year old is TESTING to get into a school. Completely nerve wracking for me and terrifying for him. One spot out of 60 with over 250 applicants. He almost cried then when they walked him into the room by himself to do the test.
And, I almost did then, too. A solid hour passed and then he was back by my side. Smiling, chatty, and happy. Seeing that totally solidified that we had made the right decision.
Fast forward two months,
It is the first day of kindergarten. I get to walk him in to school and to his classroom. As I get ready to leave him on his first day, I could see the tears welling up in his eyes and could feel the all too familiar sting in mine. I don't know how I held it together until I got to the car, because he was loudly sobbing as I walked out the door. I got to the car and the floodgates opened up. I was filled with questions and concerns.
The questions:
Had I let him become too attached to me?
Did we socialize him enough?
Will he make friends easily?
Did we read enough this summer?
Did I teach him all that I could?
What if he's scared?
What if he's bullied?
Who will stand up for him?
What if he cries everyday because he misses me?
What if I cry everyday because I miss him?
Will he miss his brother, too?
The concerns:
I hope he does all that his teacher asks of him.
I hope he doesn't freak out if the structure changes suddenly.
I really hope no one picks on him. He's already sensitive.
I really hope that if someone does pick on him, he'll tell me and his teacher.
I really hope that he doesn't pick on anyone else.
I hope he remembers where I put his snack in his backpack.
I hope he eats enough.
I hope he learns a lot.
I really, really hope he loves it.
I could go on. Seriously...
He's my first child! My heart walking around beating outside of my chest...
That first day was hell.
I missed him so much. He missed me. He had a terrible first day. He cried the entire day. THE ENTIRE DAY. His teacher called to ask how she could calm him down. It broke my heart. Even moreso when I picked him up and he told me how he hated it and I said that tomorrow will be a better day and he looked me dead in the eye, filled with sadness, and said, "Probably not."
The second day was hard, too. He still didn't like it. He still cried throughout much of the day. But, he was able to tell me at least one that was the best about the day. So, it does get better if your child struggles those first few days/weeks. By the third day (even though he did run into a metal doorframe and end up going home early), he is enjoying it and I am, too.
He gets in the car everyday with something new to tell me. A new friend that he's made. A new skill that he has learned. A new song to sing. A new language to practice (Spanish)! It's all so exciting and scary and still oh so new. He is growing up right in front of my eyes with every passing day and new class. He is becoming more confident in himself, in his abilities. "All it took was a little push, Mom."he said when I asked him how he had grown so much in only a few short days.
And, just like that, even with him being so young, my son has become my teacher. He is teaching me how to cope, to learn, to discover again. He is teaching me to look through his beautiful blue eyes and see the world from a new perspective and inspiring me to grow.
All I can tell you, first timers, is enjoy the lesson. We'll blink and it will be over. <3

Stitch Fix Review : August 2015
Stitch Fix Review: August 2015
Mamas - PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - if you are not using Stitch Fix - start NOW - you can do so by going HERE!
Today, I'll review 3 of the 5 pieces that I received in my Stitch Fix on August 13th. I also recieved a draped cardigan and an lovely mint dress that I will review in a few days. But, for now, let's get started!
I requested that my stylist provide pieces that could easily transition from summer to fall and she DELIVERED! Every piece could easily be layered or worn alone to accomodate changing weather and temperatures. I have requested that this stylist style my next box, as well, because she hit the nail on the head!
Pixley Ellie Elephant Print Blouse - Stitch Fix
It's a chiffon-type knit - very lightweight with 3/4 length sleeves - perfect to transition to fall! Looks great with the black skinnies I have on (that could easily be paired with riding boots for a fall friendly look!), but also would look awesome paired with an infinity scarf (maybe in a plum or maroon hue), boyfriend jeans, and tan booties.
Liverpool Jean Mira Skinny Jean in Black - Stitch Fix
Very easy, legging type jean, not too heavy. Can I be honest for a sec? I want these in every single color. They are just like wearing my yoga/workout pants, but obviously look more put together for running around! Increcomdibly comfortable, soft, supple and hug your curves just right. They have a pull on waist band for easy comfort with no zippers or buttons digging into your waist. They would look great with a tee shirt for warmer days or with a chunky sweater and wellies on those cold, drizzly days that we get in winter here in Alabama.
Zad Marriott Charm Layer Necklace - also Stitch Fix!
If I had seen this in store, I probably would not have picked it up, but I love it! The diamond shaped accents make the piece unique, but elegant. It's dressy, but not over the top. Great necklace.
Mossimo sandals - Target! (Another one of my fave places to shop! I use the Target Cartwheel app to get great deals!)
Bixon Ivy draped peach cardigan - Stitch Fix
It's light, romantic, and lovely. 3/4 length sleeves and the layered chiffon make this THE perfect transition piece for summer to fall! Paired with boyfriend jeans and flats for a casual look or layered over a sun dress for a dressier look, this cardigan is a winner!
Mavi Distressed Emma Slim Boyfriend Jean - Stitch Fix (July 2015)
Much like the Liverpool Skinny Jean above, I could LIVE in these jeans (and also want them in every color...). Super soft, distressed denim with a more modern boyfriend fit (the crotch doesn't look like it's at your knees - as in other bf jeans I've tried). These are another Stitch Fix fave that I recommend to anyone that had asked about my fave pieces so far...
White tank - Express / Nude patent flats - Target
This was my 4th box from Stitch Fix and my favorite so far - if you are looking at signing up for the service, definitely be sure to set up your Pinterest board for Stitch Fix Style Inspiration so that your personal stylist can style your box to fit YOU!

Post Hysterectomy Fitness - What my current Diet looks like...
I mention the meal plan I am following in the video. No doubt, the nutrition is the hardest part, but even following a super clean eating plan before, I found myself gaining weight - instead of losing. The average weight gain of most women in the first year post hysterectomy is 25 lbs. 25 POUNDS! That's crazy! So, to help you help yourself, please check out my meal planner below - it has the first 7 days filled in to give you an example of what I am eating. You can use the latter 14 days of space to fill in your meals.
And, I can't stress this enough, if you are struggling and would like to learn more about the programs, supplements, or meal plans that I am following in this post-hysterectomy journey, please feel free to contact me at candace@flabbymomtofitmom.com or on facebook here.

5 Reasons You're Not Losing Weight!
5 Reasons You're NOT Losing Weight!
1. You're not drinking enough water.
Besides keeping you hydrated, drinking water on the regular, according to recent studies, can aid with weight loss. Filling up on water before a meal helps encourage portion control, and eating foods that contain a lot of water (like fruits and veggies) will fill you up faster, causing you to eat less. A small study even found that drinking cool water can speed up metabolism and discourage cravings for sugary drinks like soda and juice.
2. You're OVEReating!
So, you're making MUCH healthier choices and you THINK you're doing awesome, but in reality, while you are eating HEALTHIER, you're still eating TOO MUCH! Nuts, avocados, whole wheat pasta, olive oil, and dark chocolate are all natural and healthy, but they aren't void of calories. You still need to watch how much you eat of the good stuff. For example, avocado offers a ton of health benefits, but an entire fruit is over 200 calories. (21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme BOTH teach you proper portions of not only your favorite foods, but healthy foods, too!)
3. You're a Cardio Queen (or King)!
If you live on the treadmill but never lift a pound, then you're missing out on one of the most important pieces of the fitness puzzle. Not only does weight training prevent injury by strengthening the joints, but it also builds muscle mass and increases metabolic rate. Bonus: thanks to a revved-up metabolism, you'll keep burning calories long after you've slipped off your sneakers. You . didn't know lean muscle mass burns more calories throughout the day?
4. Your significant other isn't on the same healthy road...
A significant other who's on the same or similar path can be a huge help to your weight-loss goals, but if your partner is not on board, then your relationship may be making you fat. You can't expect to lose weight if your partner is constantly ordering takeout, wants to go out for ice cream, or encourages you to sleep in instead of hitting the gym! Communicating that you need their support in losing weight is a great first step in finding compromises — for both of you. To start, next time you go out to dinner, discuss splitting an entree and choosing either an appetizer OR dessert to share. You'll not only save CALORIES, but money, too! Score!
5. You Don't Eat Your Greens!
Eating five to seven servings of fruits and veggies a day is important for everyone, but dieters who go heavy on the produce are more likely to lose and keep the weight off, since a diet full of plant-based foods offers a greater variety of nutrients with fewer calories — and all that fiber keeps the body feeling fuller longer. Not only that, but you'll start feeling better almost immediately (as long as you're eating a variety) because you will be working on those nutrient deficiencies!
If you're struggling and need extra support and accountability, feel free to contact me at candace@flabbymomtofitmom.com - I would love to help YOU get back on the road to healthy!

21 Day Fix Approved Loaded Cauliflower Cups
Sooo, these little gems didn't last long in the Taylor household.
I don't know if it was the ranch, the bacon, the cheese, the cauliflower, or the combination, but there were none left shortly after the above photo was taken!
Want the recipe? Of course you do!
Loaded Cauliflower Cups
(serving size: 2 cups - my recipe made 10, so all container counts are based on that number)
1 Large head of cauliflower, chopped small (should yield 5-6 cups)
1 cup Greek yogurt
1/2 Ranch packet OR spices to make your own...
4 strips of bacon (or turkey bacon), finely chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Steam cauliflower until soft, mash with handheld potato masher or fork.
3. Mix ranch packet with Greek yogurt.
4. Combine Greek yogurt, 3/4 c. cheese, and bacon bits with cauliflower. Stir until well incorporated.
5. Spoon mixture into muffin tin cups until full. Top with remaining cheese.

Christmas Morning Recipe - Pecan Pie Muffins
This is my first Pinterest recipe that I have actually cooked! Can you believe it?? I have tons pinned and regularly drool over the beautiful food photos that can be found there, but have never actually made one of said recipes...until now! And, man, did I pick a good one to give a try! These muffin/cupcakes were found on the Bake or Break website and are absolutely delicious! Please note that these are a TREAT - not a regular occurrence recipe. I was looking for an alternative to actual pecan pie because I'm not a fan of the goop - but love the pecans off of the top! This was just perfect! All of the taste of pecan pie without all of the mess!
Ingredients (yields 24 mini muffins):
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar (I used light brown)
2/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or line a 24 cup mini muffin tin.
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Fill each muffin cavity about 3/4 full.
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until edges are browned and centers are set.
Enjoy!
Note: I doubled the recipe - except for the butter - and they came out great! I watched them and they only needed to cook around 14 minutes in my oven. But, as you are well aware, all ovens cook differently - the above is a general rule. Keep an eye on yours to make sure that they don't burn! :)

Transformation Tuesday: Mackenzie S. lost 17.6 lbs in 21 days!
Transformation Tuesday: Mackenzie S.
Mackenzie was a new mom who found she wasn’t losing her baby weight like she thought she would. She joined a 21 Day Fix Challenge Group, and was able to lose 17.6 pounds and 16 inches in just 21 days! Read her story in her own words below:
Before starting the 21 Day Fix I was feeling like I had lost all motivation to lose weight. I had gone through a major weight loss journey and finally gotten down to my goal when I got pregnant with my third baby. Throughout the pregnancy I indulged a little more than I probably needed to and had a much more difficult time taking the excess weight off postpartum than I had anticipated. I thought for sure I would lose all the weight by the time my baby was 6 months old, but as 8 months post partum rolled around I was still feeling tired, worn out, and overall disappointed in my lack of motivation to better myself and become more active and healthy. I was worn out and exhausted from the roller coaster of weight loss and gain. I wasn’t feeling motivated or desirable and wasn’t putting in any effort to achieve results but was continuously feeling let-down that nothing was changing. I was really searching for something that would make me feel motivated to lose the rest of the weight I had gained.
I chose the 21 Day Fix because I had seen some of the amazing results people had with it, and knew that I needed something structured yet easy. After reading about the 21 Day Fix and looking at some reviews on it, I figured it was worth a shot and might be exactly what I needed to get back into the fitness mindset. I had a great experience! It was so easy to follow and made my meal planning a breeze. My favorite part about it was that it really taught me proper portion control! I loved the color-coded containers, even my kids liked that they were colorful! (and who am I kidding, this mama to three little ones loved that they were dish-washer safe and BPA free!) I also loved that there was an option for eating out or having little treats.
I like how much the 21 Day Fix simplified my eating! I could prep the majority of my meals at the beginning of the week and then just pull out my already prepared containers and eat those! It really changed the way I think about food, too, and opened my eyes to how much I was mindlessly snacking or having “treats” all day everyday. Once I did the Fix I realized that those “treats” really weren’t being a treat to my body, they were slowing me down and making me feel sluggish.
I am most proud of how empowered this program made me feel! I feel like I can do anything now that I have proven to myself that I can stick to goals I set for myself. I set out in this program saying that I would fully commit myself for 21 days and see how the results made me feel. Well I can definitely tell you that I will be sticking to this for much longer than 21 days! It truly is a lifestyle and I now feel that it is an achievable lifestyle! This program has refocused my goals and gotten me back on a path I feared I might have strayed from forever. I now feel ready to take on the world!
The 21 Day Fix really made me accountable to myself about my portion control as well as my food choices. I liked the workouts and found them motivating and challenging. I felt like the structure of the workouts made them tough enough to feel like I was pushing myself, but not so hard that it was discouraging. I saw the most change in my core/midsection, I lost a lot of inches and gained a lot of strength. I felt that my Challenge Group pushed me to finish, as well as really helped me to find new meal ideas and try new recipes! I loved the group and felt they were all motivational!
I have shared the 21 Day Fix with everyone I know! I feel this program can be tailored to fit anyone’s needs and is such a great option for anyone trying to eat healthy, even those (like me) who already ate clean foods. It really provides much needed structure for portion control and when to eat the right foods.

Cough and Cold Season: ALL NATURAL cough syrup!
Cough and Cold Season: ALL NATURAL, Homemade cough syrup!
As you all know...the cold and flu season has hit. And, it has hit a little earlier than normal. I know...because my oldest son brought a cold home from school two weeks ago and it has made it's rounds and finally landed on ME! Ugh...
BUT, unlike everyone else in my house, I have developed this terrible, deep, hacking cough with my cold. It has been keeping me (and my poor hubby) up at night. NOTHING has been able to work at keeping it at bay. I've tried every over the counter cough syrup that we can get our hands on, I recently had a hysterectomy and had some of my pain medication left over. Tried one of those just to see if that would help. Nope. (My husband is a pharmacist and even he has been stumped at what else we can try...)

So, what's a girl to do when she's up at 1 AM hacking and unable to sleep? ...get on the internet and search for homemade cough syrups! And, while I was hoping to find something with whiskey or the like in it (just kidding!!!) - I found several with ingredients I had readily available even at 1 AM. And, you know what? IT WORKED!!! I slept last night, with an ever so slight tingle in my throat, but no cough!!!
The several recipes I found varied with the amounts of each ingredients, so I just went with what didn't taste absolutely appalling...so here's my recipe below!
All-Natural Cough Syrup
2 TBSP. Apple Cider Vinegar (Bragg's if you have it, if not, regular will work!)
2 TBSP. Raw honey (local if available)
1 TBSP. water
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
Mix in a little jar with a lid. Keep in the refrigerator for longer storage - just be sure to shake up before use as the ginger and cayenne will settle as it sits.
One tablespoon worked for me. Dosing will vary by person.

Week1/2 PiYo Results and 3Day Refresh Befores!
So, I totally missed posting all last week and for that I apologize. It was a crazy week! But, nonetheless, I am back now with a jam packed post for you all! Yay!
First things first, my week 1 results from PiYo. I lost 3 lbs...I don't know how many inches because I only take those every 30 days. The photos in black, if you recall, we're from Day 1...the pink are from Day 8. I was pretty excited!
Now, onto my week 2 results...much less impressive and no weight lost. To be honest, I was a little disappointed, but considering I came out of the week without GAINING any weight (until Saturday...more on that later) I was pretty happy! So, back to Saturday, that's when SHE came to visit. Ya know, Aunt Flo. (Sorry guys! TMI!) Anyway, SHE brought 5 pounds of water weight with her, I'm feeling icky and squishy. So, I'm starting the 3 Day Refresh today! So excited!
I'm weighing in this morning at 149...mind you, I was at 144, down three lbs from my first week. I'm being completely vulnerable and honest here. It is no picnic to admit that number. That means I'm now starting over from my starting weight plus two pounds because of that lovely visit. But, it's cool. I can tell from my pictures that everything is tightening up and slimming down.
Speaking of tightening up and slimming down, are you looking for some extra accountability and support? Want to learn more about my next challenge group starting preseason on July 28th? Sign up here --->>>http://flabbymomtofitmom.automaticCEO.com to learn more! I look forward to hearing from YOU!

PiYo Meal Plan : My Secret salad weapon!
Want to know my secret weapon for my salad dressings?? I'm going to be honest, RANCH DRESSING is my absolute FAVORITE dressing of all time! But, weighing in at a hefty 150 to 200 calories per two tablespoon serving, it's not exactly diet or waistline friendly. I usually make my own dressing, but have been on the hunt for a delicious bottled version similar to what I make at home. Well, I found it! See the photo below!
The brand is Vino de Milo and everything is ALL NATURAL! Can I just say that I'm in love?! They are both delicious and will definitely help me stay on track as the Balsamic & olive oil dressing is only 60 calories per serving and the roasted garlic dressing is only 30 calories per serving. Score!! You can check out the other flavors this wonderful company has to offer here.

My PiYO Meal Plan - Week 1
My PiYO Meal Plan - Week 1
When I decided to tackle this program, I knew I would need to take a long, hard look at my diet. Let's be real, regardless of whether or not I started this program or another, my diet needed to be revamped and in check to get me back to where I was and beyond! Here is a sample plan and the exact plan that I am following for this week. I will be sharing my dinner recipes throughout the week so that you all can make them, as well!
BREAKFAST
Obviously, I'm pretty boring for breakfast. I try to stick to the same routine because it simplifies my life. It also starts my day out with the healthiest meal of the day, Shakeology - setting me up for success the rest of the day because it helps curb my cravings and fills me up! I add a half scoop of extra protein because I find that I don't normally get enough throughout the day to provide enough support for my body to maintain lean muscle. All of that and it's crazy easy to make! Put ice in the blender, throw your Shakeology and protein in, pour in 1 cup of water and blend to your desired consistency!
LUNCH
I also tend to each the same thing for lunch every day (are you sensing a pattern here yet?
LOL) – a big salad with about 3/4 cup of chicken, and homemade dressing. To keep the salads as low-prep as possible, chop and mix the greens and divide into individual ZipLoc bags. Go ahead and cook/chop your protein – don’t keep it with the greens, though, give it it’s own small ziploc (sometimes they can get a little soggy after a couple of days, and no one likes a soggy salad!). Don’t put the dressing on until you are ready to eat the salad, that way everything stays as crisp and fresh as possible!
SUPPER
I like a little variety during supper time, mainly for my family. If I were a single gal, I would probably bulk cook like I do for lunch and eat the same thing every night. Ha! But, since I'm not, I like to vary my supper time meal, so that noone else gets bored with routine. One thing is consistent though and that is the use of lean, white protein (aka chicken or turkey) and/or fish. Due to much reading by myself and my husband, we are trying to eliminate as much red meat as possible from our diet. It will be used only as a treat meal - such as a nice filet mignon. I include a complex carbohydrate at supper for my family, personally, I will be sticking to extra veggies and will only consume complex carbs and fruits before 3 pm.
SNACKS
I'm not a HUGE snacker, so I have to make sure that the snacks I have I enjoy. Hummus and fresh veggies, Shakeology cookies, and fresh fruit are at the top of my list and make the cut for the PiYO meal plan. I limit myself to two snacks per day as I'm in the lowest calorie bracket for the program. If I'm having fruit or Shakeology cookies as a snack it will usually be in between my breakfast and lunch and I try to stick to my veggies after lunchtime.
Hopefully this gives you a good idea of what has been keeping me full (and sane!) with my PiYo meal plan. Ready to get started on your first week of the PiYo diet and Shakeology? Want to go on this journey with me?? CLICK HERE to learn more and to get signed up!

After a hiatus...I'm back! Ahhh!!!
Okay, so I was a little absent...okay, MORE than a little absent from this blog for a while. A long while. Between my computer being destroyed (thanks to my two year old, who knocked it off of our coffee table during an epic fit) and at the same time feeling like I wasn't reaching many people...you all have knocked my socks off! I've received message after message saying that you found me on Pinterest or through Google and where have I been??? It's touched me and so, I'm back. I'm back for you and for me. The break was just what I needed to get my head right again. I had gotten so caught up in the fact that I wanted to help others that I forgot that I started this blog to help ME! To post the things that I love, find inspiring, enjoy eating. The attitude of this community starts with me and I want it to be positive, full of light, and I was not in that place at the time.
So, epic fit or not, it was meant to be for me to have this little break to get my head back to where it needed to be. My waistline, unfortunately, has suffered for it. I'll be posting pictures in a later post today. But, for now, I'll tell you about my Team Beachbody Coach Summit experience.
It.was.amazing. It was my second time at Summit, but my husband's first time. I enjoyed everything a little bit more because he was with me. He got to see my passion, now understands why I spend so much time on the computer and on my phone, gets why I love all of my "online" friends so much! He got to connect with people that he would have otherwise never spoken to and we got to experience an awesome event together! He is now 100% supportive of me and my business, which 3 months ago, had you told me that would happen, I would have laughed in your face!
We got to hang out with my incredible team and connect with them on such a bigger level than what we ever could online. I'm blessed to be a part of this awesome company, Beachbody, and to be a part of something so much bigger than I ever could have dreamed of on my own.

Waistline Wednesday: My 21 Day Fix Results!
Waistline Wednesday: 21 Day Fix Results and Review
So, I haven't posted in a while and for that I apologize. Life has gotten busy, busy and I was (for the most part) focused on getting my faith, family, and fitness in order. I had strayed from the things that keep me sane and had to find my way back. I hope you all understand.
I started the 21 Day Fix program late last month in hopes of getting off a few pounds of fluff I had picked up along my wayward path. The program consists of learning proper portion control through a set of seven containers. The look smaller than they are. I was allowed 4 red containers, 3 green containers, 2 yellow containers, 2 purple containers, 1 blue container, and 1 orange container per day. If you follow me at Flabby Mom to Fit Mom on Facebook, you probably saw my food posts and the container count on the photos...but I'll give a sample of what my day consisted of here:
Breakfast: Strawberry Banana Shakeology - one purple/one red
Snack 1: Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal with 2 eggs - one purple/one yellow/one red
Lunch: Hamburger Patty with one slice of cheese, salsa, and steamed broccoli - one red/one blue/1 green
Supper: Large green salad with Italian vinaigrette and 7 grilled shrimp - one green/one orange/one red
Water: 10 - 8 oz. glasses
Workout: Total Body Cardio Fix
The program comes with two discs with 7 workouts and a bonus cardio disc - Plyo Fix. You do one workout EVERY DAY - not terrible since the workouts are only 30 minutes long. The third week, if you want to really ramp up results, you do two a days. (so total one hour - this was the option I chose) The workouts are a great combination of strength training and cardio. The balance of the two along with the incorporation of the portion control really allow you to see results quickly. The trainer was a motivator for me because she has the body I WANT.
