Transformation Thursday: Kati C - A Focus T25 Success Story

Transformation Thursday:

Kati C. - A Focus T25 Success Story

Before I started Focus T25 I was 30 pounds overweight and had just given birth to a baby boy.  I was so depressed and would cry when I looked in the mirror.  I couldn't believe how out of shape I was.  It broke my heart that I had no energy to play with my babies.  I just wanted to hide from life and sleep all day long.  I would make excuses why I couldn't see friends and family.

My newborn baby and my 3 year old daughter needed a happy healthy mom. I knew I had to get my butt in gear and get moving for them. I started drinking Shakeology and working out with Focus T25. I am convinced that the combination cured my post-partum depression.

My biggest challenge was to face my fear of failure. I had tried so many things in the past I didn't want to fail again. I also could not afford it. I decided to put myself first for a change and paid my electricity 6 days late to buy T25!  I am now a better mom and wife because of my health.

25 minutes was all I could give with 2 kids. I am so glad I did! Focus T25 is so fun and short and sweet!

I love the time and the energy. I also love that Tania is there to modify. I followed her the first week to get my strength back after baby.  I would go to the posts when my husband ate bad food in front of me. It was also so nice to have encouragement and support. Like having 40 work out buddies holding me accountable posting motivational things every day.  I am so proud of the abs I have never had before. I also had legs covered with cellulite...NOT ANYMORE! I lost 28 lbs in the 10 weeks that it takes to complete Focus T25.
I felt so healthy drinking Shakeology. Yes I saw benefits in my mood. I was new to clean eating and it was so nice for me to grab on the go instead of me bringing my Tupperware of chicken, veggies, and sweet potato. I love it. I felt like I was on top of the world. It was like a natural high getting all that processed food out of my diet and getting the whole foods in! I have conquered my post-partum depression! I am myself again. In fact, I am better than ever. I am the mom I have always wanted to be. I am a strong example to my children and to moms everywhere that don't believe they can get back in shape.

Waistline Wednesday

My 4 Week Progress with ChaLEAN Extreme!

So, I'm a day late with my update, but here it is!  I have to admit, I missed an entire week of workouts last week. I was helping my mom decorate a condo, went and sat with my grandmother who had shoulder surgery, and did a super deep clean on my house before our Ugly Sweater Christmas party last Saturday!  I know that my results would be much better had I not missed the workouts, but I made excuses...and just didn't get it done. My photos show more definition through my mid-section and my arms.

Worship Wednesday: Jesus - The Reason for the Season

Worship Wednesday

Jesus - The Reason for the Season

This is a gathering of a few of my favorite scriptures relating to the holiday season.  Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is the reason for the season and we should never forget that. The glitz and glam of the holiday can distract us and take us away from our walk with Christ, but if you set your heart upon Him, your path will be straightened.

Enjoy!

Transformation Tuesday: Sara - A Focus T25 Success Story

Transformation Tuesday

Sara - A Focus T25 Success Story

Sara is a 34 year old mom of a 3 1/2 month old and a 2 year old. So, time was an issue, but I'll let you read what she had to say about her experience with Focus T25 and Shakeology.

Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?*
I felt sluggish, no motivation, depressed, extremely tired all the time! No self confidence and hated shopping for cloths or going to parties afraid everyone was talking about me and how I looked. I didn’t want to leave the house!
What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody® help you overcome that challenge?*
My greatest challenge was to hit play everyday!! Just having a baby 3 1/2 months ago and a two year old time was very tricky to workout and always used that excuse not to workout do to the lack of time! T25 helped me over come this challenge because it was only 25 min a day and there is no excuse not to find 25 min in my life to change it!!
Why did you choose this particular program?*
Only 25 minutes a day! For a busy mom of two small children I found 25 minutes every day to get it done and continue on being the best mother I could! Anyone can give 25 minutes of their life to a new and better you. Before you know it I hit start and was halfway through then it was over in a blink of an eye! The toughest 25 minutes of my day but looked forward to feeling amazing every time I was finished with it! Gave me something to look forward to daily!!
What in particular did you like about the program you chose?*
That it was only 25 minutes a day and I was able to find the time to get my workout in with my crazy schedule!
Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?*
I am so exited to post my before and after pictures ! I lost a total of 21 pounds and around 19 inches. Went from 180 pounds to 159 pounds! I went from a size 16 pants to a size 10!!! I’m most proud of sticking it out for all ten weeks! When I hit the halfway point and saw my 30 day results I new I had to push play everyday in order to get the most out of this program and for myself! I’m so thankful I got through this program and stuck it out! So amazed with how I look and feel!
How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?*
Wow where do I begin, I have so much more energy for my kids! I’m not as tired as I was before starting the program! I don’t even need my coffee anymore, thanks to shakeology! It has boosted my energy to a whole new level! I look and feel so much more confident in my own cloths and when I go out I get compliments all the time and people stating”I can’t believe you have a 3 month old baby” I crave to workout now and look forward to dripping in sweat daily! This program has made me a better person, less stressed and more energized for my life and for my family! Thank you beach body for coming out with such an amazing program that works for busy people!
How did participating in a Challenge Group help you reach your goals? How did your group support you and keep you accountable?
Yes my challenge group kept me motivated and answered my questions all the time! We had weekly Saturday results day and we all said our stats and how we would do more or less the next week with our nutrition, workouts and activity level!
How did a Beachbody Supplement or Nutritional Product or Program affect any existing health conditions you have?
My overall blood pressure and labs were not effected. I am always within range with them!
Did you achieve any other measureable improvements with a Beachbody Supplement or Nutritional Product or Program? (e.g. Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, triglycerides, etc…)
No everything was normal before I started program and they remain normal now.

Transformation Tuesday: Cara B. - A Focus T25 Success Story!

Transformation Tuesday!

Cara B. - A Focus T25 Success Story!

Cara's story in her own words - "Before I lost 30 lbs. with T25 I felt like a typical run-down mom. I had gaining over 80 lbs. while pregnant and was depressed. "Who was this person in the mirror?", I'd ask myself. "Where did all my energy go?" All I did was lie on the couch, watch TV, and eat myself into the next day. Then I'd do it all over again. Whenever I did find a little bit of my old-self and get dressed up to have some adult time, I'd try on everything in my closet only to realize just how much I had let myself go. But it wasn't just my body and my attitude that changed. The more depressed I got the more seizures I started having. This is when I realized it was time to change before I ended up really hurting myself, or others around me. So I turned to my father, who's a Beachbody Coach, and asked for help.

I chose FOCUS T25 because of my lack of time. With a toddler running around, only putting in 25 minutes a day for an hour's worth of results sounded great to me! I used to run on the elliptical for half an hour but I never saw any results. With T25, change happened fast. In 60 days I went from 164 lbs. to 134, and from a size 15 to a 7. My waist shrunk from a 36 to a 28, I lost 4 inches in my hips, 8 in my chest, 2 in my arms and 3 inches in my thighs.

I now also drink Shakeology every day for breakfast. Before I discovered this miracle meal I used to skip out on breakfast and lunch because I just flat out didn't have the energy to make myself anything to eat. Now I make a shake every morning and throw anything and everything I can find into the blender. It's just soooooo easy! I've also noticed that I have way more energy throughout my day and can easily accomplish things like getting groceries, working out, and taking my daughter to the park. I literally feel like I have energy coming out of my ears. I've also gained way more patience with my daughter and don't get as aggravated with her as I did before. We laugh and play so much more now and that is one of the greatest gifts I could've ever asked for.

But I couldn't have made such a huge change in my life if it wasn't for my amazing Challenge Group. This incredible group of people knew exactly how I felt and what I was going through and were the greatest support team I could have ever asked for. In the beginning, my greatest challenge was thinking that I couldn't lose weight or change my ways. But with my team's support, I exceeded my goals and couldn't be more proud of myself. Finally, I'm confident in myself again and know I can do anything I put my mind to!

Today I can do everyday things without getting light headed or out of breath. I can bring a basket of laundry up the stairs, take my daughter on 2-mile park walks, play with her on the Jungle Jim, and chase her around. I'm no longer tired and just wearing a spot into the couch. And I'm no longer awake at 2 am eating a family size bag of chips or a whole bag of "fun size" Twix. My seizures are finally under control and I've never felt better in my life.

Now a days people say, "I wish I looked like you!" and "How did you do it?" And I just love that! I've missed those compliments. And now that I feel complete, emotionally and physically, I'm helping others the same way I was helped. Thanks you Beachbody, you saved me. You truly did!!!

You can change your life, too. Take The Beachbody Challenge™, for the ultimate motivation to get fit! Select any Beachbody® program and once you complete it, share your results for your chance to win cash and prizes.

Motivation Monday: What motivates YOU?!

Motivation Monday

What motivates you to pursue a dream, achieve a goal, step outside of your comfort zone?? I know that for me, seeing others achieve success in their professional/personal life helps to motivate me to emulate their success in my own life. It's not so much a competition with them as it is with myself. To be stronger, better, faster, more efficient, more fit, more healthy, just MORE than I was the previous day.  It's not about power, money, fame, etc. for me -- it's about the challenge with myself.

For example, right now, as you all know, I am pursuing my goal of completing ChaLEAN Extreme again and getting 10 lbs off of me by New Years. I still have 7 lbs to get to that goal and only a few weeks to do it. I know that my eating hasn't been 100% and my workouts this past week were less than perfect -- so over the next 3 weeks, I will be very strict with my diet and really push myself with my workouts to reach my goal!

I also have a business goal of reaching Diamond rank in my Beachbody business by New Years. In order to do that, I will have to not only step outside of my comfort zone in speaking to new people, but actually discussing the business side of Beachbody with them. It's one of those things that make me nervous -- so much so that I break out in a sweat. I WILL do it, though, because I have committed to the goal -- not only to myself, but to others close to me.

So, I ask YOU -- what motivates you to do what you do?  Leave me a comment below -- I love to hear about what makes others tick. :)

Workout Wednesday: What IS ChaLEAN Extreme??

Workout Wednesday: What IS ChaLEAN Extreme??

I know, you've read about me re-starting my journey with this program ChaLEAN Extreme.  And, I know that you've probably been wondering exactly what ChaLEAN Extreme involves...well, check out this quick video to see what I'm doing everyday and to learn more about what's included in the program.

I personally know the results that this program can produce because I used it exclusively, along with Shakeology, to lose nearly 60 pounds in 6 months. After 30 days, the phase is switched and you're body is left guessing -- revving your metabolism and burning off fat!  My first two rounds, I only had 5, 8, and 10 lb dumbbells to get me through all three phases, so I didn't really BUILD the muscle that I wanted, but I did burn a TON of fat!  This time around, I'm using the selecttech weights that Chalene uses in the videos. (Thanks to my sweet hubby, who bought them for us as a valentine's day gift!) So, I'm looking forward to really PUSHING myself throughout the Push phase of the program.

If you have any questions about the program, the nutrition plan included, or Shakeology, feel free to shoot me a message at cgranberrytaylor@gmail.com !

Keep following along with me on my journey!  I hope to help inspire and motivate other moms to go from flabby to FIT! Find me on Facebook at Flabby Mom to Fit Mom!

Transformation Tuesday: 2 Week Progress with ChaLEAN Extreme

As promised, here is my two week check in with ChaLEAN Extreme

My photos don't show a ton of difference (to me - sorry for the poor quality...it's beyond time for a new phone), but we also had a holiday thrown in the mix! ;)  (Yes, I enjoyed Thanksgiving goodies in moderation!)

My measurements are starting to look a little better!

Day 1                      Day 14
Weight: 143             140.5
Chest: 34.5              34.5
Waist: 29                 28  (down 1 in.!)
Love Handles: 36      35 (down 1 in.!)
Hips: 40                   39 (down 1 in.!)
R Thigh: 24              23 (down 1 in.!)
L Thigh: 23.25          23 (down .25 in.!)
R Calf: 14                 13.75 (down .25 in.!)
L Calf: 14                 13.75 (down .25 in.!)
R Bicep: 11.5            11 (down .5 in.!)
L Bicep: 11.5             11 (down .5 in.!)
R Forearm: 9.75        9.5 (down .25 in.!)
L Forearm: 9.25         9 (down .25 in.!)

So a total of 2.5 lbs and 6.25 inches in the first 14 days of ChaLEAN Extreme. I'm using Shakeology as a snack during the day, but will begin using it as a meal replacement from here on out! I'm excited to see the changes over the NEXT two weeks, so be sure to check back on December 17th to see my official 30 day photos before I start the PUSH phase of the program!

Motivation Monday: My newest transformation journey

On the road again...

On the health and fitness road, that is. I admit it, I fell off track. Got distracted. Didn't care for two weeks. And, well, let's just say, my waistline has suffered for it. So, here they are, my official getting-back-on-track accountability photos. They are here for the entire world to see and help keep me on track - even...no, especially, through the holidays!

Now, onto what I will be doing to lose 10 lbs before New Years Eve...

I will be using my old faithful ChaLEAN Extreme and ShakeologyI will be following the program as laid out in the guide, as well as, following the nutritional guide provided with the program. After the first 30 days - otherwise known as the Burn phase - I will be adding an extra 20-30 minutes of cardio per day throughout the next 30 days - called the Push phase.  The last 30 days of the program, I will be following as laid out. It's called the Lean Phase for a reason!  Check back every week for progress photos and your dose of motivation to push through YOUR workouts!

Wonder Wednesday: Pasta and Depression in Women?

Wonder Wednesday: Pasta and Depression in Women??

Pasta and depression?  WHAT?  In a new study published in the journal Brain, Behavior, and Immunity, that is exactly what medical professionals have discovered. Over the course of 12 years, the Harvard school of Public Health followed the diets of 43,000 women and discovered a link to a diet high in refined grains, such as pasta, and fatty, red meats and a 29-41% likelihood that those women would be treated for depression. Blood tests revealed that women who consumed this type of diet tested significantly higher for three biomarkers of inflammation. This new study isn’t the first to link certain diet choices to inflammation and depression, but it is one of the most complete to date.

Dr. Michel Lucas, co-author of the study, says that the link between inflammation and depression is not clear, but evidence is accumulating that relates certain foods to an increased risk of inflammation and depression, while others seem to have the opposite effect.

Dr. Lucas' research shows that foods such as coffee, olive oil, wine, and vegetables, including carrots, sweet potatoes, and leafy greens - if consumed daiy - can actually reduce inflammation and depression. A Mediterranean style diet is recommended, heavy in olive oil and fish,  has been linked to lower rates of mood disorder.

What are YOUR thoughts on this new study and do you agree with what has been found throughout the conducted study?

Worship Wednesday: Children's Questions

Worship Wednesday: Children's Questions

Do you have children?

If you aren't blessed with children (yet), let me fill you in on a little secret...they ask questions about anything and EVERYTHING. Literally everything.

"Why is the sky blue?" Because God made the sky blue. "But, WHY did He make the sky blue?" ...well, because, honey, He just did. "Why is grass green?" "Why are clouds white?" "Why do we pray?"  Because we want to thank God for his many blessings that he bestows on our family and to ask Him to be with those that need Him. "BUT, I thought God knows EVERYTHING, so why do we need to pray?"

This particular question caught me off guard because I had never considered this before. It is true, God does know every desire of our hearts, our minds, every problem that we are struggling with, the concerns we have for others...so why DO we need to pray? I gave the best answer that I could come up with, because our personal relationship with the heavenly Father is strengthened when we personally bring the cares of our hearts to Him.

The verse that kept coming to mind was Phillipians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God."

I guess I've always kept that verse in my mind because that's exactly the way that I was taught to pray -- by first thanking the Lord for his blessings, then sharing the cares and concerns of my heart.

Why do YOU need to pray?  Share in the comments below!

Transformation Tuesday: John R.

Transformation Tuesday: John R.

"I have always been morbidly obese. Deep down, I knew that. But to me, being fat was more about not being able to find clothes I liked because I could only wear 4X-large, having zero self-esteem, hating the way I looked, being always chronically tired, and yeah, being totally ashamed of the way I looked.

But the fact that I was morbidly—as in death—obese didn’t sink in until my mother died from a heart attack and my sister fell into a coma because of her type 2 diabetes. That’s when I knew I had bigger problems than just finding clothes that fit.

So I promised myself that one day I’d do P90X. Seriously—that was my goal. But I was afraid. A friend of mine who was a Beachbody Coach said that Power 90 would be a great place to start. At 467 lbs., it was tough. But I stayed with it. I modified. I struggled. I did push-ups on my knees. And I kept at it because I was seeing results, reaching goals, and crushing the “I can’t do it” beliefs that had held me back for so long.

And finally, I was ready for P90X. It was hardcore, intense, extreme, and it worked.

So far, I’ve lost over 200 lbs. I’ve gone from a size 56 pants to a size 38, thanks to Power 90 and P90X. I’m healthier, happier, and I’m finally proud of the man I see in the mirror.

Best of all, I’m not stopping. At 264 lbs., I know I still have a way to go. But I’m determined to make it. " - John

Transformation Tuesday: Shanda N.

Transformation Tuesday: Shanda N.

Before Body Beast, I always struggled with so many things in my life. I was 30 lbs. too heavy. I would work out some, lose weight, then quit and gain it all (plus some more) back again. I dreaded summers because I hated the way I looked in a swimsuit. I had zero self-confidence. I was always so tired, I’d come home early and head straight to bed. I never wanted to buy new clothes because I never felt pretty. I was a mess and I needed help.

That’s when Body Beast changed my life. My boyfriend—who was a Beachbody Coach—said I should try Body Beast. He’d done it and got amazing results. So I said, ‘why not?’ It was tough, but he helped keep me accountable—and it worked.

I gradually started seeing results. I was losing weight, building muscle, and finding so much more energy than I ever had. I added Shakeology and that gave me the protein I needed, as well as extra enzymes and vitamins. My body transformed into a sculpted, petite figure and I felt like I looked like the fitness girls in magazines now. For the first time in my life, I felt good about myself.

Then the most awesome thing happened—I entered the Body Beast Classic at Summit...and I won!

I can’t tell you how much Body Beast changed my life. I owe everything to Beachbody, Sagi, and my coach.

If you need a coach, a friend, or are interested in the program that Shanda used, please feel free to contact me at cgranberrytaylor@gmail.com !  I would love to help you with you health and fitness journey!

Transformation Tuesday: Jamie P. - A Slim In 6 Journey

Mom Jamie P. lost 35 lbs and 36 inches with Slim In 6! She did the program for 6 weeks, then continued on to do another round. Check out her amazing results and her inspirational story below.

My life was BUSY, FAST and CRAZY! Just like it is now, however I have made my health a priority! That is just short of a miracle for me! I have never been a workout person, always active and living life to it's fullest but never made time to focus on my core body strength and have always eaten anything and everything that my heart or cravings desired. After my 3rd child I was tipping the scale at around 200 pounds.... I continued to eat like I was a food eating champ and was not happy with my body, the way I felt physically or my emotional state of being embarrassed about my body. I knew I could change it, but was just was not willing to put out the effort, which in turn made me feel more weak and pathetic. I started to not want to go out publicly if I did not have to. It was easier to stay home than face the world looking the way I did. I was not proud of "letting myself go."

I realized that what I was doing was not working, and for the past almost decade I had been overweight. I was not getting any younger, and even though I wished it to come true, I was not going to wake up one morning and be myself again. I was screaming inside to get OUT! A friend of mine who I trusted was starting a 90-Day Challenge. She trusted HER friend who was a coach through Team Beachbody and that made me feel comfortable to GO FOR IT!

I pledged the following: I am about to embark on the most awesome adventure! The best thing I can do for myself (and my family).... and that is transform my body into who I am... what I deserve, what they deserve... and what is inside of me screaming to get back out!!!! HEALTH, STRENGTH and BALANCE! A fitness and health challenge is taking charge of my life! Support me... watch me grow on the inside and lose on the outside.

I chose Slim in 6 because it was recommended to me by my Team Beachbody Coach. I researched many different programs and felt this program would be a good start for me. The 6 weeks sounds appealing and the short 30 minute workout was a HUGE plus as well. I had not been working out and was starting fresh.... this was something I felt I could handle.

I LOVE the short amount of time and the intense EFFECTIVE routine! It REALLY works! My waist shrunk the fastest- it was amazing to feel that change! I was like a butterfly going through a metamorphosis! Slim in 6 focuses on your core strength. One of my friends hugged me one day and stepped back and gasped... "Oh my gosh I can feel your arm muscles." It was the back of my arms from the resistance band workouts! I felt so amazing! I had not even noticed those new muscles until she said something! ; ) They say it takes 4 weeks to notice a difference yourself.... 8 weeks for close family and friends to notice and 12 weeks for the world to notice... I LIVED THAT! It's SO true! I feel amazing because I HAVE EARNED every bit of my transformation!

Transformation Thursday: Rebecca P.

Obviously, if you follow my blog, I usually post these stories on Tuesdays, but I read Rebecca's story and know a few people that it MIGHT inspire, so I wanted to share it with you all today!

Meet Rebecca P. - she lost over 100 lbs. and 21" off of her WAIST -- read her story in her own words. Incredible!

Tell us about your life before you started the program. How did you feel about yourself and your body?* I have grown up my entire life over weight, I thought this is how I was meant to live and that was it. I tried to hide from cameras, I was embarrassed to be introduced to new people, and I hurt all over. I grew up being told that I would be so much prettier if I had lost weight by family and friends. I basically accepted that I would never be anything but the heavy girl. I was unable to do things I enjoyed with friends because I was to big, I couldn't fit in booths at restaurants, or in a normal seat at the doctors office, even some cars were uncomfortable. I FEARED being out in public because not being able to sit in a sit was scary, I dropped classes because the desk were so tight I did not want people to see me trying to sit in them.

What inspired you to change your life and begin your transformation journey?* After I had gotten married in April of 2011 I did my first 5K it took me over an hour to complete it and I was hurting ALL OVER. I was the last person to finish the race that day. So that, the fact I had been on bed rest due to my high blood pressure, and then having to have my wedding dress made because I was so big I couldn't buy one in my size I knew it was time to change. I was newly married and late 20s I was sick of always eating and sitting on the couch! My weight had caused me to have a miscarriage at 24 weeks pregnancy, stopped me from buying cars, clothes, you name it my weight was controlling me and I was tired of it! I was tired of seeing pictures of myself and not being happy with it.

What is the greatest challenge you faced before beginning the program? How did the program and Beachbody® help you overcome that challenge?* I have used Slim in 6, Les Mills Pump, Turbo Jam, TurboFire (which I now have been doing for over a year), and P90X to get where I am at a total weight loss of 180lbs. The biggest challenge before beginning the program was being open minded in giving it a chance. You see the commercials and you really think there is no way that this could happen with out paying for a trainer or having major surgery. Beachbody helped me because they have something at every level of fitness. My very first program was Slim in 6 and it was perfect for me to get moving, once I completed this I started doing more cardio such as the elliptical and then I saw the Les Mill Pump commercial and I knew that this would be a perfect way to start weight training, after that TurboJam I wasn't using TurboJam to long before I was ready to set this thing on FIRE! And I haven't looked back! I have used it alone and with P90X TWICE!! It's a godsend, the nutrition guides have taught me how to eat more than any trainer.

Why did you choose this particular program?* I love to get loud and crazy when I work out, if you're not having fun then why do it?! So I loved PUMP the music was wonderful and great trainers, so I decided to order Turbo Jam after previewing it at a Fit Club and it came with a surprise the Greatest HIITs DVD! Wow I found myself wanting more and more of the that little fire disk I purchased the program!!! It's such a well made program the music is older but STILL good even present day!! It's challenging me still right now!! I mean where else can you get all of these classes, great trainer, great music, and ALWAYS challenging you, not at my gyms!!

What in particular did you like about the program you chose?* None stop challenging and if you feel like you wanna stick your butt out or shake it a little you can and it's highly encouraged by Mrs. Chalene Johnson so is always saying this is your WORKOUT go for it. The class is fun even if your not really there you feel like you are. The HIIT trainings have helped me in so many ways, I hate running but the cardio conditioning I do with this program has really helped me even succeed in RUNNING!

Describe the results you achieved with your Beachbody program. Which achievements are you proud of?* My weight loss is unreal still to me! Mouths drop and some even cry when they ask what I have been doing and that I'm using the at home workouts. I tell them I dont have to spend hours in the gym, you can get results at home with BeachBody!!! My clothes fit different almost every week so much that I will not buy any new clothes since I seem to go down a jean size every month. And the fact that I'm inspiring so many other people is the best achievement!! Another honor was that Under Armour Women have been following my progress to loss 200lbs and are so inspired by me they said I was redefining the female athlete and are proud of me.

How has your life changed since completing your Beachbody program?* Since I have been using Beachbody I have been asked to be the spokes person for our know your numbers campaign at work to encourage others to get healthy, I have been recognized on the Under Armour Women What's Beautiful Site as a featured Athlete, I have watched as a woman I have inspired loss 30lbs since Jan 2013, I felt confident to get a better job, I'm graduating with me AA this May, and I got Turbo Kick Certified. I don't know if I would have ever gotten to this point with out Beachbody or the community of people that are associated with this AMAZING company.

How did participating in a Challenge Group help you reach your goals? How did your group support you and keep you accountable? My beachbody coach has now become my friend. She is so humble and real, when she first emailed me my husband said it's a scam...haha, but turns out she is totally real. She continues to motivate me and encourage me to keep pressing play, I never took my before and after pictures before I met her. She said it would keep me motivated to see my results and she was so right it does. I hear from her almost daily, I think she is my biggest fan. Theres not one day she doesnt tell me how proud of me she is.
How did your Team Beachbody® Coach support you on your journey? I love the Shakeology, I believe it really set the bar to eating clean and healthy. I have used all of them you name it and Shakeology is the only one I have been able to continue using. It gives me energy, makes me feel better, the taste is amazing and you can do so much with it. with Shakeology and working out I have brought my grades up, have less cravings, learned what super foods are. Shakeology really helps you learn to rethink all of your daily choices.
How did a Beachbody Supplement or Nutritional Product or Program affect any existing health conditions you have? At one point I was taking four pills a day, three for blood pressure, and one for depression but not any longer!
Did you achieve any other measureable improvements with a Beachbody Supplement or Nutritional Product or Program? (e.g. Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, triglycerides, etc...) Team Beachbody home page has a million great tips, I encourage everyone to get on there and browse, everything from nutrition to success stories theres something to inspire and help everyone.

Motivation Monday: What drives you?

Motivation Monday: What DRIVES you?

Everyone has SOMETHING that drives them, motivates them to do the things that they do. It is WHY they do what they do!  It could be faith, family, money, power, service, etc.

Most people are motivated by money or the pursuit of it. They want to do more, be more, make more.  BUT, then there are others, who are motivated by service and faith and making a difference in others lives.

Personally, I'm motivated by three things.  First, faith; second, family; and third, service. I want to be a person who does things for the glory of the Lord, whether it be leading others to Him or being an example of a Christian woman.  I want to be that person for my family, especially my two boys. I want them to always remember their mom as generous, kind, and caring. But, most of all, strong. I want to be a service to others, in whatever way that I can be. I enjoy helping others with the health and fitness, but if I can be of service in other ways, I would like to be.

So, what motivates you to be the person that you are?  Is it fame, fortune, faith, family? Is it to be remembered as a Godly person or as a star? Post below in the comments!  I would love to hear about your WHY! :)

Worship Wednesday: What (or who) are you thankful for?

Worship Wednesday: What (or who) are you thankful for?

1 Thessalonians 3:9 (NIV) "How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?"

Do you take time out of your day to thank God for the things and the people that He has helped to place in your life?  I was thinking about this as I was sitting and looking at my new curtains in my living room.

I know you're thinking, "What do curtains have to do with being thankful for people or things?"  Well, you see, these curtains were sewn specifically for my home by my mother. She didn't have to take the time to make them for my home, but she did. And, I'm thankful for them and for her.

She is absolutely my best friend and confidante and if I didn't speak to her at least once per day, I would be lost. It's not that she gives incredible advice or that she's particularly funny, but she calms me and helps bring me a sense of peace. Not to mention, she selflessly takes time out of her schedule to do little things for me, like making curtains. She also brings joy to my world by being a loving and caring grandmother to my two boys.  They call her "Bebe" and live to see her and spend time with her.

So, definitely take time TODAY to thank the good Lord for your loved ones and the many blessings that the Lord brings into your life.

Transformation Tuesday: Noelle K.

Transformation Tuesday: Noelle K.

"August 2012 was a turning point for me—I’d just had a baby, so I should have been at an all-time high. But I wasn’t, because my weight was at an all-time high. And when I discovered that I could no longer touch my toes—it hit me like a ton of bricks... I had to change. Fast.

So I made a promise to myself—and my two kids—then backed it up by starting Slim in 6®. I chose it because it was low impact, which I needed because I’d just had a C-Section. In just weeks, I lost over 20 pounds.

After Slim in 6, I wanted to keep going—and have some fun, so I started LES MILLS COMBAT®. All I can say is LOVE, LOVE LOVE. Then I added Les Mills Pump® to get a leaner look... and after finishing, I’m now doing INSANITY®. Wow. The results I’ve achieved are amazing. I’ve lost 40 pounds and 38 inches!!!! I can touch my toes, I’ve got the abs I never thought I’d get after my C-Section. I feel better and healthier than I have my entire life.

And I actually weigh the same as I did when I was a teenager. Can you believe that?

Thanks to Beachbody, I was able to achieve my fitness goals. So I’ve decided to “pay it forward” by becoming a Beachbody Coach. Now I’ve got the best job in the world, working for a company I totally believe in, and helping other people reach their goals.

Before Beachbody, I was at an all-time low. So I went looking for a solution, and never did I think I would find this amazing light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks Beachbody. It just goes to show what you can achieve if you’re willing to “Push Play.”

You can change your life, too. Email me at cgranberrytaylor@gmail.com to discuss your goals, then take The Beachbody Challenge™, for the ultimate motivation to get fit! Select any Beachbody® program and once you complete it, share your results for your chance to win cash and prizes.

Transformation Tuesday: Susan A.

Meet Susan and read her story in her own words...

"I’ve always struggled with my weight. Not that I didn’t try—I’ve managed to lose some, but never without gaining it (plus some) back again. In the military, I was never within weight guidelines (even after extreme wraps and dehydration). My weight was always a black mark.

I hated that I didn’t have the discipline to get into shape. My self-esteem was nonexistent. I could have gone on like that forever—except I got a wakeup call when my doctor put me on cholesterol meds. I was 29—my family had a fatal history of early onset heart disease—and I knew what my future would be like (short) if I didn’t change.

So I did. I attacked. I started with Slim in 6 because I was afraid I’d quit if I started with something too extreme. Slim in 6 was perfect—short enough to finish, and tough enough to work. I was ready for another challenge, so I picked ChaLean Extreme because I wanted to build muscle.

But the best came when I did Turbo Fire. I knew instantly that I’d found MY SOUL MATE WORKOUT. I love the style, love the music, and I love Chalene. Most of all, I love that I can actually finish things I started. But honestly, I could have done it without Shakeology. It gives me the vitamins and nutrients—and the energy—I need. It also helps keep me “regular,” which has always been a problem.

I can’t tell you how much my life has changed. I am a happier person. I have so much more energy now. I love myself more and value myself more. My relationships have improved because I feel better about myself. And my cardiologist says there’s no need for cholesterol medications anymore.

He even said I’m doing everything right to stop my family cycle of heart disease!"

Transformation Tuesday: Jennifer O.

Transformation Tuesday: Jennifer O.

When I became pregnant with my son I suffered from morning sickness 24/7. And being as nauseous as I was, you’d think I would have lost my appetite. But NOOOOOOO! Instead, I gobbled up everything in sight; justifying it by saying, “I’m pregnant! I can eat anything I want!” And 9 months later, a beautiful 8 lb. 9 oz. baby boy was born and I was left carting around 60 pounds of excuses.

Two months had passed and I was still wearing my maternity pants, trying to hide my gargantuan size. But after a while I was tired of my stomach hanging over my waistband and feeling like a slob. Not only did it look bad, it was the most uncomfortable feeling in the world. More than not wanting to end up overweight for the rest of my life, I really wanted to be able to keep up with my son as he grows up and starts running around. So I dug out my set of
INSANITY DVD’s (I did it two years ago and got pretty good results) and pressed play. But this time, I told myself I’d push myself even harder as well as be super strict with my diet. And in 6 months, I went from 198 lbs. down to 153, lost 11 % body fat, and shrunk from a size 16 to a 6. Turns out, it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be to find the time to exercise daily or to eat healthy.

For starters, I had Shaun T. on my side. I won’t lie, there were PLENTY of times when I wanted to fall down and eat cake, but I didn’t. I just held onto his “keep going”, “don’t give up”, and “digging deeper” attitude. And I love the fact that the people in his videos didn’t intimidate me. They were as exhausted as I was and it felt great when I was actually keeping up with them. It felt even better when they’d fall and I was still going!

And since I was exercising daily, I figured I might as well start eating healthy daily as well. So I pulled out the nutrition guide and read through it with an open mind. From the very beginning I told myself, no more cheating, no more excuses, no more “EWWW-ing” new foods. And to my surprise, I liked a ton of the recipes. Not only was I saving calories by eating healthy, I was saving big bucks because I was no longer eating lunch out.

But the real life changer for me was
Shakeology. Once I started drinking it daily, my fat literally melted away. I felt more energized, a lot happier, it improved my digestion, and I stayed fuller much, much longer. Once I had my shake for breakfast, I was set up for a day of eating well. I’m addicted to this stuff—but in a good way!

So many people from my hometown ask me how I did it. So I tell them. And now that I’m a Coach, I can pay it forward and help change their lives too. I’ve never been fitter, healthier, or happier. Thanks Beachbody!

Worship Wednesday: Our New Home!

Worship Wednesday: Our New Home

Joshua 24:15 "...As for me and my house, we shall serve the Lord."

The Lord just continues to bless our family!  One thing that has been on our hearts (and minds) and in our prayers as of late was to be able to find our forever home. We've been living in my in-laws vacation property for the last four years and to be honest, it was just time. So, my husband and I first set about deciding what area would be best to move...somewhere larger? Somewhere smaller? Stay near where we are? Move farther away?  Well, we decided to move closer to where he works and to a slightly larger city.

I am so proud to announce that the Taylor family will soon be residents of Dothan, AL!

After touring numerous houses and nit-picking them to death, we decided on the first house that we went to see. Our wonderful realtor, Brett (of Heisler Homes & Realty, HIGHLY recommended if looking in the area), said that the first house you look at usually is the house you end up buying. I don't know if that's true or not, but it was for us.
Our New Home!
I'm excited for the opportunity for Kevin and I to re-connect with old friends and make new ones, as well as, spending more time with family that live up that way. I am also excited for the boys to have the opportunity to meet other children that live in the neighborhood and make friends, as there are few children their age that live near our current home.

May I ask that you say a small prayer for us that the closing goes smoothly and there are no hiccups along the way?  We appreciate the prayers and know that the Lord is by our side during this new chapter in our lives.

God bless you and your family!
